lmao always wondered if our cars would hit that speed, but don't feel like getting a ticket or killing myself and others trying to find out.

haha, you can tell when it starts to go downhill when the fuel needle starts going up instead of down.

haha i always wondered too if they could, but i would never take my cl up that high on public roads. I took my old 5 series up to 155 one time on the highway, I was 17 then, what a fucking idiot move on my behalf.

I never had my old CL past 105, I was freaked out by the amount of shaking at just that speed...let alone 130+

I had to at least try the high speed thing the other day. I only got to 100 but it was smooth as hell at that speed (it also took like a day to get there from 85 on a flat road).

i will admit, my CL is incredibly smooth up to 90 (furthest ive taken it) what wasnt so smooth was my break slowing down.. chunk chunk chunk chunk.. time for new brakes!

ill take pictures of my rotors when i pull them out.. eek.

the 3.0 is ridiculously smooth at high speeds. Took it at about 125-130 at the Big as Texas meet and almost burred the needle at 140 but Carson had to slow down for a turn.. I mean, who the hell slows down for turns anyway?

The fuel pump is in the rear of the tank, not the front. So if the needle goes up, then it's at an incline.

Just saw the whole video, definitely ends at a decline though. The gas needle going back up must be from letting go of the gas pedal and fuel being thrown back into the tank from the return line.

more than one kind of smooth. i obviously wasn't talking about the road lol if you've ever been on the taconic you would know what i mean.
i just meant that the car accelerates smoothly. its not all jerky and shitty feeling

95 southbound into ny is getting smooth as hell, thats were took my e39 up to speed, but i agree, smooth is way more then just tires, the engine pull is so nice, although ive got some clutc slippage, especially with lots of weight in the car which leads to me not being all so smooth for the moment

a lot of people are saying "lame" or i was stupid for doing it.. but if you know me.. i have an "i dont give a fuck" attitude towards a lot of things so driving fast is one of them... but i did it "safe"

FYI... it was 2am with no one on the FWY. i wouldnt do that with other cars on there. that would have been worse. if i did hit something.. it would have been a wall and the only person that would be injured or dead was me.

adrenaline rush was off the charts tho!

Speed limiter or just your top end?

Anyone know the stock top end of a 99 2.3 MT?

You'll get no hate from me.

When people post vids of swerving in and out of traffic going 100+ on the freeway then there is some shit to be angry about.

my whole premise of getting that on video was because i was tired of people saying "i hit blah blah blah"... or "fuck you lying bitch.. our cars can never do that". so heres proof assholes! wheres your proof??....exactly /rant
