Yes, FINALLY. But I have questions. Is my factory car alarm going to be an issue? Will it be affected?

I was thinking about this Sony deck. I don't need anything too crazy, but I don't want to be too cheap either.

If I was I would like into something else but sony, sony is more of a lower quality brand. My friends have had sony and they are s-h-i-t. If I was you I'd put that money towards another CD player.

There's a reason why Sony named their car audio X-Plode...

I wouldn't recommend any Sony car audio equipment.

I have JVC. KD SX60... CD, MP3 /w line in aux for my laptop or iPod, or even my old SONY Walkman. I've had it (Walkman) for almot 11 years. It still kicks ass, but it eats batteries like mad. I still like to play a cassette now and then.

I prefer Alpine, I've got the CDA-9825 now, but I love the new ones like the CDA-9851, 9853...they're very nice... do you have steering wheel controls? There are ways you can keep them with a new head unit as long as it has a remote, let me know if you need info. about that.

My stock head unit was Alpine... Stupid PE0 error. I hated that deck, and my steering wheel controls for the radio never seemed to work right. the wheel had to be cocked to the left or right. If centered, they didn't work. Oh well, the JVC has a remote. I keep it in the pocket under the radio.

yeah theres a thing called the "PAC SWI-X" look it up, pretty much you program remote commands from the new head units remote to the pac swi-x, and it hooks up to your steering wheel controls, when you hit the buttons on the steering wheel, the pac swi-x converts it to an infrared signal and controls the head unit like a remote. However, you can hard wire them too, except there are few head units it'll work with hard wired. I know that the Alpine CDA-9851, 9853, and 9855 will work hardwired, im not sure about others.
