OH NO....Look who has projectors now!!!
Hey guys i have been working hard all day yesterday almost 10 hours total work time inlcuding time for return of some items and returning the fricking dremel. the dremel is another story, mike knows, but i had a dremel siezed up on me when i tried to make my own trim rings for the projectors and the damn bit would not come out, well i took it back to HD and told them it had a manufacture defect, and in fact it did cause i called dremel on it but they in return gave me the prced one when i bought it which was the cordless one, i took it home and the damn thing i charged for 4 hours and i did all the prep work and take apart the housings while the thing was charging but anyways the fucking thing only lasted 20 mins of dremel time so i took it back and told them i wanted the one like i had and that this one basically sucked balls, and i got a new one FREE OF CHARGE!!!
well after configuring the projectors to the housings luckyly i called mike and checked with him but i had it configure so that the cut off plate was on top and it was supposed to be on the bottom so i tossed me back about an extra 2 hours that could be why it took me so long but anyways i have finished the driver side and it looks sweet, the only thing i wish i could have found the permatex black sealant, all i could find was the red one for gaskets but it works fine supposedly according to mike, you can see the red sealant but i took a lot of it off, but i need to go around and scrap the remainder off but you cant see anything unless you look hard at it with the hood open so red is ok and if they do look i can say it matches my engine
but anyways here are some pics of the driver side, i have to go to work now but i will take some pics tonight when im driving of the difference compared to the AM Xenon bulb i have on the right side. i would say this is the best money ever spent cause my oem projector and halogen bulb are brighter than my aftermarket xenon cheapo bulb
heres the pics:

you can but on the 3.0 there is hardly any room on the passenger side so i did the driver side first. but you have enough room the projector sits about a inch from the clear lense maybe a little less but it looks nice all i need now is a full trim piece covering my mounts but its ok for me and its satisfies my needs
it looks nice the aiming part was time comsuming and hard cause with my set up you need to have it just right
but i love the look of a projector, it looks mean and today i got a commment from a teg that noticed my 2 different lights but its nice and i like the look, hopefully by sunday maybe monday night i can have the other side done thats if the weather outside stays nice

red99: the bad thing about putting them that far back is the light containment, how did you contain the light?
my ring contains all my light, for the most of it, do you still want a set of trim rings? let me know pm me or aol im @ jgiguere17
i was going to do that but the amount of space i had on the passenger side for the 3.0 was not much, i thikn it is less space than the 2.2 and 2.3, but it looks sweet
BTW where did you make the step up align at? i mena my step up is center according to the projector and i tilted it down to prevent on comers from the high beam and blindness but i mean where did you make them meet at? cause the projectors spead the light so well i am totally please i am thinking of upgrading already to the bixenon ones ill get a hold of ya mike
but let me know how you aligned your and if you have a pic of the light against the wall so i can see the step up it would be helpful

Nice work, but you didnt have to go so crazy with the red sealant. Is that high temp HVAC sealant? I didn't even use any new sealant and mine are water tight. The hardest part is sealing the holes that you cut for fitment.

i know i shouldnt have gone so far on the sealant but i wanted to make sure that i sealed it up all right, the rear of the projector i still have to put back on the rubber grommet that is the stock grommet to help contain the light too

Ha, this reminds me- At work on Friday I did the front end of a '00 Caddy STS, and the headlight was busted, so I wanted the projector from it, for my HLs .I was all excited about an STS/CL projector swap, but then I finally got it out, and it was like a fuggin' football, it's about as big as 1/2 the entire HL lens on our cars. poor show.
VXCL- What do you think $hipping to Canada would run?

i already bought an hid kit- d2r rebased 9006 bulbs and ballasts. i am going to run those for now. when i buy the projectors, i am going to switch to d2s bulbs and sell the d2r's when i put in the projectors.
