OEM fog lights

Im new to this stuff so i really need to some help as to where to go for these. I've already called a ton of Junkyards to no avail. My acura dealership doesn't sell them anymore for some reason. Ebay hasen't had anything aside from those fugly aftermarket ones.

I've heared they are very rare and can be a bit pricey. Does anybody know where or what i can do to find these? Thanks.

you can get the oem foglights from another car. i got mine off the civic si. look for civic si foglight on ebay and does are the same ones. you just dont use the plastic that covers them all you need to do is tho modify the mounting bracket. thats what i did. 2000 civic si and just wire it anywhere

yes those are oem. they would be brand new from honda/acura. the oem ones are raybrig and are pretty nice lights, i am sure that the kit will include the switch and the needed wire. the folks at www.acuraautomotiveparts.org are really friendly if you call them up.

hope that helps!

I just got the OEM kit and it comes with the lights, the wiring harnesses, the switch, and the installation instructions. Haven't gotten around to installing yet but it will probably be done sometime this weekend.

From an Acura dealer where I have connections. But they don't actually have them in stock. They had them shipped from NC.

Yeah, those websites kinda seem sketchy to me. Id really like to see pictures first or hear from someone whos bought from them.

Or.

Could someone ask their Acura dealership if they still sell them? Maybe if we all bought some they could sell. I know i'd feel much safer.

do the factory fog lights only turn on with the headlights?
do the factory fog lights only work when the low beams are on?
can you run the fogs with no other lights on?
what bulbs do the fogs use?

The fogs use H3 bulbs. They wire in to only work when the low beams are on, the auto switch off when the highs are enabled. They're really handy because they go on and off along with the headlights and don't need to be turned on and off seperately.

www.acuraautomotiveparts.com is not a sketchy place. I have order lots of little stuff through them and have been totaly satisfied. I'm sure there are other people that will also have good things to say.

Well, i just called this acrua dealership in atlanta that sells acrua parts and apparentley they just recentley ran out of them. He explained to me that once they stop producing the model they no longer produce accessories. Recentley they ran out (during the summer) and don't sell them anymore. All these websites that say they have them don't anymore so theres virtually no way we can get them

I still REALLY want those damn lights. I say we get about 20 or so of us to band together and pitch them an idea to get some more out of their warehouses or whatever. Or if someone around here's Acura dealership still has them then maybe they could help us out.

I REALLY want to get these things.

If you really want em your probably gonna have to pay full price. Try calling some acura dealers to see if they have them or if they can put out a bulletin that they want them. Thats what they did on my and it took like 2 weeks until someone came up with them. Unfortunately I think patience and full price are what its gonna take.

Yeah I did it myself. If you follow the directions that come with the kit its really easy. Shows everything step by step.

I know I need clear corners. They're next on the list...Reminds me I need to update my signature.

Can anyone tell me the size of the OEM fog lights? I'll probably end up getting aftermarket fogs because the OEM's are so expensive, but I want the size to be close as possible.

It will fit the bumper, u just have to modify where the switch goes, cuz i think the 97 switch is bigger than the 98-99, but they'll fit. My 97 has a 99 bumper on it, and the 97 fogs fit fine.

Ahh, so the switch is the only issue? If so im sure i could just trim it a bit. Or I could possibly just get a 99 switch..Would that work you think?
