odometer

My odometer stopped workin on monday. I've squeezed a few free miles out since then. Any idea how this could have happend? The trip odometer is stopped as well. Probably shouldn't have reset it to 0, people will be a little curious now. This something I could fix myself? Thanks.

yeap

easily fixable if its the problem that i'm thinking of

When you take apart your gauges, take out the speedometer.

You should see the entire odometer unit mounted onto it.

You can pull off the rear circuit board by merely pulling on it.

There is a module towards one of the sides, that has 4 metal pins sticking up, that controls some kind of machine that moderates both mileages. That module right there controls the mileage on the odometer, both the main and the trip.

That module might have disconnected...because if the trip odo doesn't work, the main odo doesn't work.

I can sell you a whole odometer unit if you want....incase yours is too broken to fix...$20 shipped and I can send you it.
