OBX Headers on 3.0 Resonance

I read on a lot of threads about the resonance a lot of guys were hearing after putting the OBX headers on there 3.0. I had this problem and it turned out to be the down pipe shifting over and hitting that brace that sits next to it. It was loudest when I made right turns. I took the brace off and ground about a 1/4 inch off where the thing was hiting(it was obvious) and this fixed the problem.

I hope this helps you guys out there with the OBX Headers.

Could you tell a difference when you got the headers installed? Major or minor?

Initially, when I installed my OBX headers (hey, it's been just about a year now ), I had minimal resonance problems.

Since I had the engine swap last month, I've got that damn resonance coming from the downpipe banging against the cross member! :thumbsdn:

I has to do with where the dude (who dropped in my engine) aligned the downpipe's hanger (pressed right up against the hanger welded to the car.

When I get a chance (SOON), I'm gonna unbolt the downpipe from the cat, and reposition it where I had it before.

It's driving me nuts!

EDIT: Maybe I'll grind a little off of the "brace". We'll see.

I would say minor. The engine seems stronger between 55K and 65K RPMs. I may have noticed a bigger differance had I changed the whole exhaust at once but I did it in stages. Muffler then CAT then Headers.
