o2 sim

Can someone recommend an o2 simulator for me? What's the best place to get them? I need one by the end of next week... I have an aftermarket 2.25" magnaflow high flow cat if that helps at all

I would save the money and use two spark plug defoulers as spacers for the o2. The only prob with that is you need to drill through one of the ends, so to avoid the hassle you can get one already machined on ebay for like 10-15 bucks. I dont have any experience with them on the cl(couldnt get my o2 off b/c i didnt have a breaker bar),but I do know some people that have run them on other cars with no problems.Just my .

the spark plug de-fouler trick works perfectly! I've been rolling with my high flow cat and the de-fouler/ O2 spacer for like 4 months now and no more CEL. Scored mine at Autozone for like $3 each (you'll need to combine two). Like the other guy said, you'll have to drill one out. I work in an automotive shop so drilling was no biggie.

Are you sure you need this? I had a small, cheap cat put on in April 2007 and I've had a CEL ever since. The consequences of this are rather small, all it does it tell you that your cat doesn't convert as many byproducts as it should, and only the downstream O2 gives this code. There is not evidence that this will foul your upstream O2 and there is not a loss of gas mileage

You can't get an inspection sticker with a CEL on. And I don't like paying $100 to pass inspection with a shady sticker...

In Alberta cars don't have to be emissions tested or certified upon sale, and I don't plan to get rid of it so the CEL isn't an issue to me

Ontario has mandatory emissions testing and I think it's such a load of crap.. people who have cars old enough that they smoke usually can't afford to get them fixed. It's like they want to pick on the little guy. Big rigs produce twice as much pollution in the US as all the cars and their emissions standards are 40 years behind those of cars, they don't even need to have a PCV system to catch and burn crankcase blowby gases

Before^

after^
You only have to do it to one of them, and then attach both of them and you will see where the oxygen sensor will screw in and where the spacer will attach to the cat. i've heard you need a .5 inch drill bit but am not sure because i avoided the hassle and just bout a machined one from ebay for 5 dollars more.
(These are not my pics. got them from a subaru forum)
