O.K.-Need some help. . .

I've been trying to use the search for about 5 minutes now and I got nowhere(I must be slow or sumthin). I was looking for some info about adding an amp and subs to your stock system. I don't have the money for a full headunit/speaker replacement, so I just want to add-on instead of replacing. Can anyone help me out here?

Thanks in advance for the help.

You can just get an amp that accepts High Level Inputs, and tap into the rear speaker wires in the trunk for the source...

Or you can get a High Level Convertor, in which you tap into the speaker wires, and it converts that signal into an RCA Signal...

I by-passed the stock amp at the rear harness, and tapped in an aftermarket amp, Infinity speakers, and a pair of JBL subs.

Click on my "Fotki" link below to get the wiring diagrams.

Good question Rob. As a new owner of a CL 3.0 I'm not impressed, near disappointed in the stock Bose system.

While I'm not someone who is looking for the whole freaking
car to vibrate, I do like much more bass than this system is
able to put out, even with the control to +5.

So, in the same vein as Robs question, could someone please
recommend a component or two (amp, subwoofer, etc) that
won't cost more than a Grand, and will make this system sound
at least as good as the stock system in my Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Thanks.
