I just paid $250 to have the bumper repainted! Now it's gonna cost me another $250 (deductible) to have it redone (plus rental car, plus the car will be in the shop for who knows how long)! Plus, I just had the Teflon applied yesterday!!!!!!!! :angry:

It was probably someone you raced one time and beat the shit out of, then they took their agression out when the saw your car again... realized how much better looking and faster it is than theirs and ran into your car with their piece of shit.

See if your works insurance will pay for it... seeing how it was on their property (i imagine)


Maybe have them align the bumper a little better too... or is that from it being hit??

I hope you notified the garage before you left work, otherwise they'll discount the claim immediately and then it's back to your insurance. Man, I'd love to see the dickhead who did that. I know you aren't a violent person, but he does deserve a good foot in the pants for not even leaving a note - with that much damage he should have known he hit you.

I also say cruise the garage next week and try to compare damage to other vehicles, maybe you can find the culprit that way.

You all are making me nervous. I got my damage fixed several months ago and I know how much it sucks to drive in a banged up ride.

 

College park is the mecca of minor but annoying car accidents.

I can't believe one time I was there, I was sitting outside on a friends balcony when I see 3 drunk dudes walking done the sidewalk with a 2x4. I watched them just cause it was about 3am and nothing else was going on. The guy with the 2x4 went up to a VW beetle and smashed the windshield for no reason, then took off WTF!!!

I stopped parking my car on the side streets around Knox Rd.

 

Im sorry to hear what happened to your car Rick, I just cant belive all that has happened to you in such a short period of time.
Looking at the scratches and dent it looks like someone was trying to backup and turned too early. Since your rear end was higher that would explain the angle of the white paint scratches on the rear. I just get so mad when I see people messing up cars and not beign responsible enough to take responsibility for it

Ps: Take care and try not to be out to much with that sniper going postal all over dc. Lets just hope that was not his white van that messed up your car.

 

sorry to hear that it happened to you again dust. my car was hit in the rear bumper a couple of nights ago while i park at work, but the guy that hit me left a note for me when i came out. he is going to take care of the damage for me (what an honest guy). i went to an acura dealer and it will cost $801.67 for new rear bumper and paint.
