I have a 99 2.3 automatic and when I punch that gas it will excelerate and then it stops excelerating and revs up really fast and then kick into the next gear. Is that lag time in between normal I think it happens switching from 2nd to 3rd gear.. Normal driving I don't have this happen.. I have 91k on the car and i'm the second owner as far as I know it's the first tranny.. ]

 

Mine does the same thing too, mine happends when it down shifts to 1st when I floor it switching to 2nd, thats the hastle of having this confused transmission. Ever since the tranny rebuild, I stoped doggin my car.

 

sounds like a bad tranny! but i'm not exactly sure...
