Nneed Help With Interior!!!

I was gettin ready to remove the center console so i can install my new HU but i cant seem to get the damn thing off. i removed all the possible screws but i cant seem to pull of the console. i can rotate it up and down but it feels like its stuck somewhere in the center...do i just yank at it? im afraid to break something....

Please someone help....

i have a 97 2.2 5MT.

oh and i did a seach and followed all the directions i found but still no use.

ou probably forgot a screw or something, did you get the ones under the plastic piece in the center console?

www.installdr.com i think theres a center console removal install there

there are a buncha plastic pieces...um...where exactly do you mean???

oh and when i rotate the center console evenything moves even the stock HU. is that normal?

i already looked at the installdr website...

you only had to remove the black piece around HU. where the hazard button, and clock are.

yea i figured that...i kept reading stuff on the board about people taking out their console for the install so i assumed i had to....i tried takin the black trim out but i was afraid to break it, after like an hour i was like fuck it im taking it out.

if u do wanna get the whole console off, there is 2 or 3 screws on the right side...u'll need to take the cover compartment off. then u'll need to take the armrest off too. and one screw behide the ash tray i think.

On '97 CL, you only have to take out the black panel around the radio. On '98 & up, you have to remove the rear console, and then the four screws holding the black panel around the radio. '98 & up is just like '94-'97 Accord. I dunno why the '97 has a completely different console.
