Remember using 92 octane is your friend while running nitrous.

its probably been discussed before... but is nitrous even worth it for a 3.0 CL.. would it screw up my car .. plus its automatic..
i think it'll be a good mod to have.. but i dunno if its good for the car.

you just have to figure out what your limit is and what you want out of it.. if you set it up right.. and use it correctly its safe.. you just have to have some common sense..

i put my own kit together.. but i had this guy put it together, he does alll the kits for all the local nitrous users.. he gets respect from the import crowd becuase he made a 12.1 second civic SOHC.. some weird stuff and 175 shot of nitrous

i'l be posting videos soon..

I've thought and always wanted to install a nitrous kit on my CL, but I don't trust my
tranny enough to have it done. Otherwise, It would be on.

Shannon, take your CL to the track and see what numbers you pull now.

BTW - Be careful when you're out racing in the streets.

I'd like to do NOS..Ive got a friend who wants to sell me his used ZEX kit for $400, but im afarid about the tranny. Plus, I dont street race anymore (ITS NOT WORTH IT) and I never go to the track, so i'd kinda be pointless having the kit I think.
Dustbuster had a 75shot didnt he? His 3.0 auto was fine with that. 75 would be the most i'd do though.
I think id be just "cool to have" and I really woudnt use it. If i did get one though, i'd want to hook up a purge kit though...lol...that might should ghey but seeing people perge their NOS...i think its the coolest looking thing...

Scenario: Pull up to a light, a riced out civic pulls up next to you. The 16 yr old is cocky and startes to rev acting like he'll kill you, you rev it, hit the switch and spray nos all in the air at his car...lol..that'd get him to shutup and re-think things...lol..

Ok im a noob when it comes to nitrous, and the only time ive used it is in need for speed. In a manual car, when it the best time to spray? Early in the gear or toward the end?

I would love nos, but I don't trust my tranny either. If I ever get a dr evil tranny, or the tranny with LSD and the turbo kit that supposed to be getting made, then I would totally slap a bottle in my trunk.

Love this smiley

How long do you think this will last? http://www.coximport.com/Merchant2/m...ct_code=R500-4 It's a 12oz bottle. That's like a soda can. Can you mount this under the seat or something?

6.

1. i prolly have about 500 into it.. wire, connectors, switches, filled the bottle, bottle heater, micro switch, new metal bottle brackets, new line.... 92-93 octane will be a bitch

2. dry, i hid the fogger really well.. lol

3. wet means that the nitrous mixes with the fuel 50/50, dry you shoot strait into the motor from your short ram or cold air intake

4. what kinda info were you looking for

5. the solenoids

6. thanks

id buy a wet kit that way it can spray both fuel and nitrous equally- which is technically safer to run than compared to a dry kit.

All four tires have about 80% tread, however two of them look like they've
been mangled by Alex on the inside ( edge ) of the tires due to incorrect camber.
After speaking to my stocks they said that they'll ride out for $200.00 plus
a trade for your stocks and your 97' front grill ( :dog: ). Oh...and you will
have to personally come pick them up.

I think the Nitris would be great for passing on the interstate. that would be about the biggest use for it in my opinion... Although, I wouldn't mind taking a couple of runs at it at Thunder Valley Raceway. I just am leary over the transmission. Hell, I'm scared to powerstall/launch... fucking transmissions aren't cheap, and if I break this one, my wife will kill me. I really didn't break the first one, I bought it fucked up... had to replace it a month later. Oh, gas in OKC is running $2.19 for 91, $2.14 for 89 and $2.04 for 87.
