What is the best way to get my CL running 14's, even 15's. I just want it too be faster. I also want it to be safe for my engine, no major work? I was thinking Nitrous but I have heard pros and cons. Can some please set the record straight?

 

I know I could not of gotten my automatic 2.3 into the 14's without my 75 shot of nitrous, thanks to my zex kit. I have no major engine work done to my car and have been spraying safely for a year. If you get a zex kit you only need better spark plugs and thats about it. You can easily get into the 15's with a 55 shot. So if you want to be faster get a nitrous kit.

 

Can I ask what else you have done to your CL? And how much would the ZEX kit be? Full out, everything that I would need?

 

You can get Zex kits off of eBay. Here's a current auction that will fit our cars: $450.00. You can get a Purge Kit for under $90.00, and a pressure gauge for $38.00. After hearing some positive responses concerning bottle warmers, I just may get one: $70.00 (used).

These are just a randon sample of prices, and you may do better, elsewhere. I got my whole set up for $550.00 plus shipping (used--nitrous kit, purge kit, and pressure gauge).

 

Basically a zex 75 shot (zex spark plugs, purge kit and pressure gauge) all the bolt ons (cold air intake, cc headers, racing cat and custom exhaust), aem fuel rail and fuel pressure regulator with fuel pressure gauge and a/f gauge, msd ignition with magnecore wires, apexi v-afc and thats about it. Theres more buts thats basically the basics.
