I've been thinking of getting a set for my car, the only thing that's turning me off is that I wouldn't have the slightest idea where to start wiring them up.... is it hard??

Not at all... This has been discussed before. I posted a link from a civic forum telling exactly how to do it. There are two ways to wire it.

Constantly on and blink when the blinker is on. (which is how I am going to do it). But this way it alternates with the stock blinker.

Or

Constantly off and only blinks when the blinker is on, but blinks in unison with the stock blinker.

Im going to have to find that thread to see how it is wired.
