newb question

i've never actually tried to take out my headlight bulbs before until today. seems as though it's impossible to do. i tried for like half an hour and my friends tried too and i STILL couldn't get the job done... all i got was scraped up hands. i checked the manual and the board for any information but neither helped. can someone explain to me how to do it? i wanted to put in an HID kit, but i honestly couldn't do it... i tried both sides, neither would come out. it twisted a little bit, but it seems to get stuck. it turns about 1/4-1/2 an inch and that's all. please help!! thanks a lot

The first thing you must do is unplug it. Then if you loosen- just a tad- one or two of the 3 screws that are immediately surrounding the bulb, it should turn about 40 degrees counter clockwise until you are able to pull it straight out.

My guess is that you didn't unplug it first.

yeah, you probably didnt un-plug it...

just to make things easier, you dont even have to loosen those screws... its made so you dont have to, just un-plug it and turn it... all there is to it.

Yeah just turn it I broke the housing on mine because it took a little bit of elbow grease to get it to move, but I used to much so be careful. Also if your gonna start playing around in your engine Id invest in a pair of regular mechanix gloves you can get them just about anywhere. I just got a pair because i sliced the top of three of my nuckles when I was removing the metal plate the battery sits on. Its been a month and they are still pretty sore and Im gonna have some fugly scars.
