New thought... Legend tranny!!
The Legend Coupe, didn't it at one time during it's lifetime have a 6 speed manual tranny with a 200 hp v6?? Now call me crazy, but I know they exist, not too sure of the hp, but I wonder if that tranny would fit our cars?? I know those cars are fast as hell... hey, even if the tranny does not fit, what about a complete swap, Legend motor and tranny in a 3.0?? Anyone have any ideas/thoughs/info on this?

I think the manual swap would work and actually believe someone did it to their accord. I dont remember where I saw this but I will try and find it again...of course it is not going to offer the same ratios as the new CL-S manual that is coming up so...
Maybe cheaper though.

how about an NSX tranny?? i've never seen the engine in one so i dont know how its configured... but it is rear engine, rear drive... so I imagine that the tranny should be the same, unless the engine has its crankshaft front to back instead of side to side.

Of course, I recommend that everyone frequent that board since our CL's share a lot in common with Accords.

It’s easier to go with the j32a3 or the j30a4 6speed than a C series 6speed ... The C series tranny will not just bolt up to a J series engine (we’ve talked about this before) ... plus good luck finding a NSX or a legend 6speed tranny

Why would you spend alot of money to drop in like a 94 legend motor with 100,xxx miles and no parts for it?

we're talking about trannys not motors and if one more person says H22 to a 3.0 question/problem i'm going to go nuts

the legend came in a 6 speed 230 HP in 1993 1994 1995 and the engine was mounted 90 degrees opposite ours and the NSX. it is possible to swap the engine and the tranny but then youll lose VTEC for 30 Hp and a manual tranny for about 10,000 dollars.......you do the math, and then figure out you could swap a 6 speed from a CL-S like hoffhines for much less.

perfecto-i said h22 to the guy who was talking about swaping the whole legend motor and tranny. Sorry, i did forget your engine bay is alot diff and that it doesn't work out.
But, an NSX tranny would cost about as much as some of your CL's are worth, thats why i couldn't even believe it was brought up.

Wow, i love some of these responses. If i was going to do a manual swap, it would be an H22 and tranny. WHY NOT? A. 200 HP out of a 4 cyl, faster than the 3.0's, B. You CAN find those swaps and there are parts for them C. It is not as complicated as an NSX swap, and for that matter the Legend is 90 deg. mounted w/ no VTEC. Can anyone come up with a reason to go with another setup with more +'s than the H22?

i agree bryanz3.0cl! my dad owns a shop and he said it would be to complicated to do the h22 swap from our cars! he also said that why would i wanna switch from a 6 to a 4! lol he's still in the big block chevy period !
