New temperature gauge, but the needle won't move
i broke my gas and temp gauges a while ago and i got new ones and put them in. everything has been ok except that the temp gauge didnt work. i didnt do anything for a while cuz i really didnt wanna take the whole gauge cluster out again, but today i did it. i made sure that the 3 screws that hold it in were as tight as possible (i think they also give it power) and i made sure the the white-faced gauge was all the way down so that the needle wouldnt get stuck on it. well i did that, put it back in and went for a ride and the temp needle still just sits there.
what could be the problem? its not that important but i just wanna fix it cuz i like every little thing to be perfect.
also, u know the 2 bulbs on top that light up all the gauges at night and the plastic piece thats there? i took a blue sharpie and colored both of them so now when i turn my lights, my gauge faces look blue. just thought id let u know. it looks pretty cool.
but any ideas of why the gauge doesnt work would be helpful. thanks

ENGAGE MY VTEC BABY!!!!!!
maybe you busted the arm for the needle or maybe tweaked it a little so that it wont turn, like bending it. can you take pics of it for us to see?

i cant take pics, no digital camera. but i dont think i tweaked it cuz when i took it back out i could move the needle to the top of the gauge and the needle still falls back down on its own. i still cant figure it out
