New Muffler - Need help

I was just told that i need a new muffler on my 97 3.0 CL. Any thoughts on what to do for an upgrade since i'll be spending money on something? ( i figure why not add some power to the batmobile)

Will an upgraded muffler add power or do i need to get an entire performance exhaust system.....and which one fits? (if you know?)

Also thinking about a CAI....any thoughts on which ones fit and are worth it?

Uh oh, it's another batmobile cl! Welcome to the forum man, People on here prefer the magnaflow mufflers. What type of exhaust upgrade are u talkin about? full piping and such, or just the muffler? If you are gettin a cai for your 3.0, then make sure you go full, and get a good one. No cheap stuff, AEM is probly the best CAI for this car.

you could get a full catback system from any of the big names (greddy, apexi, skunk2, etc.)

or you could get the muffler from magnaflow or whoever. (i picked a magnamuff, i Love it to death.) However, if you go for the muffler, you should get the piping on your car changed from the stock (2'' i believe) to at least 2.25'' or 2.5".

It helps alot and you can feel the difference (for the second one, thats what I did - I got 2.25'' custom piping.)

Good luck,
-Alex
