New here 98 cl

Well I'm new here, looking forward to spend some time on my new acquisition.

I bought a 1998 2.3L 5Spd black “more like a very dark green really” CL about a month ago for 500 dollars, the body has some damage and the car did not run at the time b/c of a bad engine or so I was told, I had not been able to work on it b/c of work but about a week ago I finally got to testing it and found out that it would not turn on b/c of a bad a/c compressor, it had locked up and did not allow the started to crank quick enough to fire, so I got a smaller belt and bypassed the a/c compressor.
The same day I got the engine running the clutch gave out... I was pretty upset so I bought all the parts and decided to do a quick search online to make things a little easier and here I am.
I will take pictures of the car as it is right now I’m gonna go trough everything that looks out of place.

Thanks for the replies, the car is up and running already, it just needs an a/c compressor to fight the texas heat, i have probably spent $400 on parts, I do all the work myself.

I finished the clutch today, all I have left is the compressor and some body work,

I have done the following to the car:

Bypass ac compressor with smaller belt
New radiator (flush, thermostat, cap)
Clutch (clutch, pressure plate, throw out bearing, flywheel)
Two good used tires for the front.

Welcome! Good to see some more Tx cl's on the board.

What size belt did you use to bypass the compressor, if you don't mind my asking?

big update a/c is up and running, it now blows a frosty 45 degrees, I have also installed a premier head unit and an old school bad ass 12" jbl with a 1200w jbl amp pics are coming, I also replaced my damaged driver with one from a junk yard, the clutch is doing great its already broken in.
I have removed the Acura and cl2.3 badges from the truck I’m yet to get something to clean the gunk up...
I love my CL and I’m very glad to have found this forum!!
