If your coolant starts to look like chocolate milk, the mechanic screwed up. Also just check your oil level from time to time. If you're losing oil faster than you were before the head gasket service, then he probably screwed up.

What these guys said, the easiest problem to spot is white smoke comin out of your exhaust, but the coolant and oil are what u wanna look out for.

There is always a chance that a little oil got into the cylinder during the maintanence. As long as the smoke clears up within a day or two then you should be fine. If it keeps smoking then you have a problem.

that should stop almost instantly. also check your coolant level, make sure all the air bubbles are out of the block. just basically look and make sure everything is bolted down again, wire looms, ground straps, etc.

3.0 or 2.2(3)??? How many miles? I'm wondering why your head gasket went.

did they resurface the head.. prolly so but if you blew a head gasket your head is warped or cracked.

just check the radiator for any cracks or look in your ebay for any green fluid... the fluid is a good sign your radiator is cracked.
