New guy on board
New guy on board
I'm brand new to the board and feel out of place. I have a 99 2.3CL with 19K miles, white w/spoiler and NO mods yet.
I spent over 2yrs trying to get Acura to fix a problem only I could hear. Over 5 dealerships involved and all mechanics deaf as a stone. I had an engine knock only I could hear. Finally wrote the VP of Honda and low and behold, when they pulled the pan they found the cylinder wall scared and a broken piston skirt. I now have a new engine which just has the common piston slap that all 2.3's have.
I think customer service hates the sound of my name but it would appear that if you take the bitch high enough...well you know.
I've been a gearhead for as long as I can remember so I hope I can be of help here.
