New Gauges, New Cluster

I put some new gauges in my car and I broke the fuel needle clean off, so I need a new gauges cluster. My question is do the 3.0s have different needles? maybe some that light up would be nice and does the 97 accord cluster fit in our cars. they have white needles and i lookes a lot better than those orange ones that are in there now. I will post pics later today., they look bitchen.

If anybody does have a cluster for sale pleace e-mail me @ acow8me@aol.com, or IM me on AOL.
Thanks...

You don't have to replace the whole guage cluster just because you broke off one of the needles. You just need to replace the needle.

I don't know if the accord will fit, but it's pretty similar so it might.

One thing to mention is that if you replace the entire cluster, you are also changing the "mileage" or at least when you go to re-register the car. That's something to look out for if you get one with "less mileage".

You want to becareful with the mileage. Will make it hard because people on carfax will think u rolled back the mileage when they do a carfax check.

So i can just order a new needle and it will slide into place and work? I also am now having problems with my tach. It jumps around a lot and dosent display the right rpms, and sometimes gets stuck, I took out the new gauge to see if there was something holding it up, but there wasnt.

that happened on my gsr, it is usually the inner part of the needle assembly that binds not the needle itself, i ended up using using 3m spray adhesive on all my indiglo's and it worked fine.

Carfax is actually what I was thinking when I said that, but I think that the DMV would also be concerned is they saw that the mileage went down rather than up.

as long as you have more miles than what you registered with your good, example if you register with 30,000miles and you have 70,000miles now if you have a cluster that has 40,000miles there is no reason to believe you rolled it back.

I know but when i was looking for a car back last year, the inspections, along with some other cars had accidents and even services record at the dealerships. On some cars mileage wasn't recorded, on most was. I think on newer cars, it is more likely to be recorded. Its a gamble, but would u want to make it harder to sell a CL.

Im not really concerned about the milage difference. carfax is shit! you can get anything by them. I just bought a accord cluster and im waiting for it. how do you take the needles out and back in without breaking them, and how can i fix my tach?
