Yo guys im tottally psyched up, either on wednesday or thursday my cousin is giving me his 97 2.2 CL!...i agreed on payin trade in but he called me yesterday and there was a misundertstanding...he's just giving it to me...no money involved!

So heres the thing...i saved up bout 4 gs to pay him but now i can blow some of it...so i was thinking howabout start on some rims...i really hate the rims the 97 CL comes with but i love these...5dbl Spoke and these 7 Spoke and i was wondering is anyone popped these off their CL and would like to sell...i searched round ebay a bit and i cant seem to find em.

Dude for 4 gs drop a built h22 in there. You will regret it later on if you don't. Trust me it happens to all new members. We tell them what they will want, but they are like 'nah...' Few months later they are crying cause the don't have enough money to buy whatever we tell them to lol. Welcome to the board!

I seriously suggest the H22 swap. The CL is an EXCELLENT ride that lacks only some HPs, which are easily picked up with an H22

Thats a damn nice price that you found. If the price was right I'd sell mine. I have 5 of the 5 spoke rims. They have 57K on them. the fifth has scratchs on it and was given to me when I bought the car. Make me an offer. I'd love to get some new rims...

If i had a 2.2 I would....trying to find a 2.2 with 200k+ miles around here to buy for cheap...then sell my 3.0 for the normal price so i have lots of money to spend on it

yea if i had to start all over again, with 4g's...i'd do the h22 swap and some boost. keep the outside totally sleeper, not change the rims or lower it or anything.

Definetly guys...my first reaction to it was H22!! but then i realized im not goin to be able to do it...i said i can blow some of the money but not all of it...2500+ is way to much to put in the car now...believe me i would go fukin nuts to throw one in there but i cant...and im not all about the drop...some drops i see on the board look sweet but somtimes they go a bit too far so thats out. If anyhitng id thow in those cams and maybe an intake...small mods nothing big.

Most of this is because (not to get too personal and awkward) im gonna need the money for insurance...i was diagnosed with leukemia like a month ago and im not goin to be able to get a job this summer cause i have a few more moths of treatment. And dont worry guys its not all that bad...the worst part is over.

Anyways, thanks guys for all the advice and responses i really appreciate it.

Um..i was reading around and i realized that maybe the rims might not fit the 97...has anyone found this to be a problem. Both have 4 lugs and have same dimensions, but i still wanna be sure before i buy anything.
