New cat-back exhaust sounds like broken muffler- WHY?!?!

I just had a brand new 3 piece cat-back N-1 style exhaust (similar to Greddy Evo) installed yesterday and it sounds like ASS!!!! No nice pitch- just a loud drown and it vibrates the whole car- it's louder in the car than outside--why is this?

Could it be the exhaust is shitty or the installation was shotty? I notice a little more power, but it's not worth the freagin' headache I'm gonna get- not to mention I'm gonna go deaf

how much did you pay for it? You usually get what you pay for.

Megan Racing...it's a knock-off of Greddy. I am assured that the quality is the same as Greddy (in terms of steal and materials, flanges, welds, etc.). Fitment is a little off, but nothing a little extra welding can't fix.

I can tell from the design and from the product itself that it is top quality like gredddy- so functionally it is fine- but there might be a leak or something

It sounds like a freakin' mack truck, or a concorde- completely untuned sound

knock offs arent really the way to go. most people usually find that payin once for the best brand will actually save you money in the end

In what way is the more expensive exhaust going to save me money? I am wondering why this exhaust sounds like ass if it is made the EXACT SAME way

it is going to save u money because u r probably going to decide eventually to get a new one. most likely a different kind. The two added together will cost more than the brand name one that u should have gotten in the first place

Resonator is a muffling device, it will help it quiet down. Sometimes there are 2 resonators per unit. You might try that.
