new car question
Hi.
Id like to start out with this comment - Im ultra newb. Im 16 years old and I just graduated from a peugeot 505 station wagon as my "learn on this" car to a '99 3.0 cl. Im extatic to say the least. I hear there are transmission problems. Would they affect my car? this is the first time ive driven an auto for an extended period of time (the pug was manual), so i was wondering if the shifts are supposed to be hard when its like 10 degrees out. (i know i should put this in transmission but i have some other questions). #2, are there any problems with putting the stock spoiler on because it didn't come with one (rust, water leak etc).
ill appreciate any feedback! Thanks!

welcome!. i'm 16 also, i've got a 97 3.0 CL
no, you should not have problems with your transmission, the CL's that are having problems are the new ones, 2002-2003 i believe?---
from what i hear, installing a stock spoiler is quite easy!..
get them from ebay.com search for 'acura cl spolier'
or www.acuraautomotivepartsonline.com ..its not that-- blah i can't remember, someone back me up!
although i'm not sure why you want one :P.. i prefer it without the spoiler! :-/

A-CL Post Whore w/N2O
Welcome!
Make sure you heat up the car well before driving. This will do wonders to help save your tranny!
Also, make sure that you change the tranny fluid about every 15k to 20k miles. You may even want to install a tranny cooler for those hot summer days.
You shouldn't have any leaking/rust problems after installing an OEM spoiler.
