New bumper?

Yesterday I was removing the haze from my headlights and I noticed a few issues with the bumper. The lower lip has been hit decently hard, and looked like it at least cracked it. Well somebody clotted up some body filler in it and it looks like absolute ass. It could probably be repaired correctly, but I honestly think it would be cheaper to buy a new front bumper cover, buy a lip, and have it all sprayed together. I found a site that has "remanufactured" bumpers for 125.00 plus shipping. Any body ever heard of remanufacturing a plastic bumper? BTW the headlight cleaning diy is genius! Pics soon to come.

u see...i have never really seen a CL with a Car bra or mask...or w/e u wana call it....but i do...its a black leather piece thats covering the front of my car...i was either getting a new bumper or lip...or jus spend 50 less and purchase a car bra or w/e u wana call it. i mean my car is red with 5% tints, black polished stock rims, with (in process) smoked out tail lights...it doesnt look bad at all. but if u wana get a bumper i suggest u get a lip or replace the entire bumper...it depends on how u wana spend ur $$$$$$

Ok, I was Talking about buying a new bumper cover, buying a lip, and installing the lip on the bumper, then having it sprayed as one piece. I had just never heard of a remanufactued plastic bumper.

Reman'd bumpers are just patched and reprimed as far as I know, 125 is cheap, OEM bumpers are more expensive than that. I'm looking to get a new bumper too, I plan to do what you wanna do, just get the bumper and get it painted with the lip at the same time

I have one our body shop guys looking at it now. He is gonna let me know prices both ways. How hard will primrose be to match? He is afraid if we do another bumper then he will have to feather the paint into the fender to make it match just right.

primrose is a 3 step paint IIRC, if he's good he can match it, but my guess is he'll have to at least fade it in.

oh, they are good. This is the body shop for Clayton Volvo here in Knoxville. He is convinced he can rework the bumper to be right. He wants to bust all the old material out and use a plastic welder to fix the break and then fill what that dosnt fix. For some reason the bottom of the cover isnt bolted up to the car, and is scratched to hell. He also thinks it would be easier to match if he uses the already painted bumper. Hell maybe I should just paint the whole car a different color. My girl has a thing for those burnt copper colors. IDK, told him I would think on it. The economy is so f-ed up, nobody is buying cars=no money for me. So its gonna wait anyway.

I just spend close to $1000 replacing my bumper and buying a lip.

$200 for the lip shipped, $270 for the brand new bumper, and $400 to have them painted and installed.

dude, check out the photo gallery. 90% of the cars on here have the wings west lip. A few have the abs from ebay. Its the thing that hangs down off the bottom of the front bumper.

I actually like the ebay lip. I just worry about its tendency to disappear. Course most of the roads here are alot better than where you guys are.

That lip wouldn't last a week around here, especially once I lower the car again
