New amp is hella hot
I wired my new amp up today, basically an update of the same model that I bought 3 years ago and it's quite warm just after a short period of time. I'm using 8 gauge wire and all the settings are the same as before, both at the HU and amp. Would lowering the gain a bit and raising bass/vol/etc on the HU help at all? Also, do amps in general need "break-in" periods, like a new car does?
BTW, the amp i got is the Profile CA400

i couldnt tell ya. My amps are regularly hot. I dont mean warm.
Them suckers are hot to the point wher you could burn yourself
if you touch the wrong part of it. I am under the impression
that its normal. If your concerned, get a liquid cooler.
