new 98 CL owner
hey everyone I just purchased a 98 CL a/t White 2.3 Prem for cheap (1200) .. it needs a new hood, grille and front bumper. I am having big trouble locating any body parts for the car, all I've found so far is Del Ray OEM acura parts in florida..
I'd even be willing to slap an aftermarket CF hood on it, can anyone help me out with a referral / source I can look to on the east coast, better yet in NY (I'm in NYC) ...
The car has 84k and I'd like to fix it up and use it as my DD. One other question I have is : Are the auto trannies on this model prone to failure?

welcome. im sure that the Tri-state people will chime in here sooner or later.Yes 2.x and 3.0 auto trannies are horrible. Most questions can be answered in the noob guide or by searching.

you can try oemacuraparts.com or acuraautomotiveparts.org or acuraoemparts.com all three have good prices on OEM parts but shipping on a large item such as a hood may be killer. either way its worth checking out. welcome and cheers to the CL!

you can also try car-parts.com and see if there is any used parts in your area for the car that you are looking for. If there are it will save you on shipping. I think there were quite a few transmissions in the NY area when I looked so you may luck out and find all the parts you need from one car somewhere close if you look on there

search craigslist for cl's getting parted out. Hell im going tomorrow to get some stock rims and maybe a few other goodies from a wrecked 97. Yay lol. Oh and welcome
