Need Help With Wiring In Sub/amp

okay, i'm attemptin to wire in my amp with the help of my roommate, how do you know which sides are positive and negative, also how did you guys run the power cable from the front to the back, having troubles on how to get it through, thanks for any feedback, also anyone have a wiring diagram for the first gen 3.0 speaker setup?

by the brake master cylinder there are harnesses going through the firewall. follow those with the power wire. it should put you out behind the coinholder on the firewall.

man this basslink is bad, for what i paid, it's got nice sound, thanks dust, took us forever to find the TINY metal tab , it's a sweet sub man, now i gotta find where to mount it..........
