can anyone tell me what they did specifically when they wired up their dizzy? like what wiring to match up and everything. I know that one of the pages tell me that I can use our cl harness but its jus not working out.

 

What dizzy are you using? Internal or external coil? What does the connector look like as opposed to the H22 connector? Post some pics of what you're working with.

 

im using the dizzy that the motor came with. and its a internal coil. the connector has 8 wires. ill post the pic once I get home

 

 

Post a pic from the back so I can see what color wire/ pins are going where

 

 

Ok from the view of your connector, my pins are all the same on that side. On the harness coming from the dizzy side,

Black wire connects to grey wire
Red wire connects to white/blue
white connects to white
black/ yellow connects to black/yellow

yellow connects to pink
green connects to white/blue
blue connects to blue
yellow green connects to white/green

Let me know if that makes sense. If not I'll go take some pics for you. I hope that helps!

 

alright cool! now are you using the f23 harness? cuz I got a 99 acura cl and I heard that the 97 cl harness is different since its a f22

The wiring harness connector side is the same as the pic you posted. Also, I'm running an OBD2 to OBD1 jumper harness to a P28, not the CL ecu. A P13 also failed to even turn over my H swap for some reason, but the P28 from phearable.net worked like a charm.

 

Ok cool. Was there anything else that u did? Did you change out oil pumps?

 

Also what throttle cable are you using?

Oh so u have the h23a? I got the h22a. But your oil pump had the crank sensor right?

 

Don't remember off the top of my head if it did, it was years ago lol. Since my engine is internal coil like yours the dizzy wiring should match up though.

Using my F23 CL throttle cable. Found a writeup on the oil pump replacement also. I'll be adding it to the stickied swap thread
