Need help from someone with a Helms manual
someone with a helms manual help me out.
what color and where is the ignition wire?
my greedy EGT says that i need to tap wires into:
the ignition (so it comes on when the key is put in)
the parking lights
a 12volt source
a ground
and a wire that has negative polarity for the alarm.
any help?

Parking lights can be gotten from the red/black on the 3 wire connector on the back of the dimmer for the dash lights.
The 12 volts could be ran straight to the battery. I imagine you could use the same source as the ignition since you wont be reading the gauge with your keys out. (the wht/yel wire going to the back of the CD player is constant 12V)
Ground...anywhere.
negative polarity for the alarm...got me...have no idea why youd need it. My autometer didnt need such a thing.
BTW thanks for fixing the PMs

it's a good gauge because you can recall the last highest temperature.
