Hi, sorry, i'm a noob, i bought a remote off ebay and need help with programming the remote control for the lock/unlock functions of my car.

i received these directions but it doesn't seem to work, step 1 say to disarm the security system. How do i do that?

1. Disarm the security system.
2. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
3. Press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote control transmitter.
4. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
5. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
6. Press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote control transmitter.
7. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
8. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
9. Press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote control transmitter.
10. Turn the ignition key to the OFF position.
11. Turn the ignition key to the ON position.
12. Press the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote control transmitter.

The ID for the remote control i received is KOBUTAH2T

can anyone confirm that this id is for 97 cl

or is it for later model CLs.
