Need help: how do you remove the power mirror switch cluster on the doorpanel?

That little black mirror cluster pictured above. I put the doorpanels back on (really easy actually, took me about 3 minutes per side), but on the drivers side I don't know how the hell to get that green plug inserted into the underside of the power mirror switch assembly. For those that have removed your doorpanels, you know what plug I'm talking about. I just hate that the wire is so damn short for it, and it seems like no matter how much I try to 'feel' it into the socket from underneath (laying down and looking underneath the bottom of the door panel), it won't clear. I tried to push that power mirror cluster up from underneath but only the top budges, and only comes out halfway. Does anyone know how to remove that little cluster? It would really help me....or if anyone has any other trick/method to plug it back in

thanks

had to do that when I replaced my door speakers... IT WAS A BIATCH! its good if you have someone to hold the panel while you go under to remove or replug that harness. if not I had to use a SUPER skinny flat head tipped screw driver to remove that mirror switch in order to unplug that dumb harness. but I see you have wood grain. it will damage or crack it when using a flat headrd screw driver.

thanks man, but nah that was just for example...i have the regular black trim, not woodgrain

so how exactly do you remove it though? are there clips that hold it in from underneath? Weird thing was that I was able to take it out no problem when the doorpanel was half off (ironically) but now trying to get it back in I see no way because of clearance. I think I should have taken it out before I put in the damn door panel arghhh

?... try placing like a small concrete block or something to place that panel on top? reinstall that switch onto the door panel. with the door panel on top a concrete block or something?. try to plug in that mirror harness first then the window harness. if can? you should be good. good luck man!

I made a DIY with pics when helping another member. See if you can find it. I'd help, but I have to get ready for work.

It just pops right out, I believe it has like 2 clips. I just fish it through then plug in the mirror switch and pop it in, in that order. Done this on my and zero's cars many times

quick question: in that pic it looks like all you did was just insert a small flathead on the bottom of the mirror module and it popped out? If this is true, essentially you could just do this with the doorpanel still attached (bottom clips removed) and doing it from underneath, correct?
