need help!!!

I recently got into an accident (stupid me) and insurance is replacing my hood. I am hoping to get the 97 grill for my car, but I'm not too sure that it will fit for the 98. I'm pretty sure that it will fit from other posts that i have read here, but my shop called 2 acura dealerships in my city and they said that it wouldn't. I am thinking that they don't know what they are talking about, but I am not sure. I thought the 97 and the 98 grill were the same size and the only diff was that the 97 was a 2 piece and the 98 is a 3 piece.

I drive a 98 2.3cl

Can anyone help me???

Thanks

The '97 grill will fit your '98. You'll need to purchase all these pieces: http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.net/...GRILLE+%281%29

thanks for your help again dustbuster!!!

if i have to replace my whole hood, does my shop just have to order a hood and it comes with the grill? or do they have to order them seperately?

If they come together, can my shop just order the 97 hood? will that fit or is the 97 hood different from my 98 hood?

The grill comes separately from the hood. The hood is the same for the '97-'99 CL, only the '97 grill is different from the '98-'99 grill. In any case, the grille is separate from the hood.

Good luck!

hahahh i would love to, but they don't make carbon fiber hoods for our car.. I realize they are trying to make custom ones, from the other post, but I'm not going to wait for that to happen....

I would love one in the future if they can make a good quality one, but I don't wanna be the guinea pig... hahahhah

So wrong dude. There's a few guys with carbon fiber hoods. I'm sure someone will post back with pics.
