I got a remote off of ebay for my 97 CL and I did the whole Re-programing (instructions from someone on this board) And it's not working. I tried reprograming the original remote and the re-programing instruction worked. Am I doing something wrong. The remote looks exactly like the original. Can someone pls advise....

 

Could the battery be dead?

Are the serial numbers/etc on the back of your new remote the same as you old remote? They could be 2 different models.

 

Battery is ok. The Serial numbers aren't the same.

 

I mentioned that because, once I bought a remote off of eBay, and it was for the '98-'99 model and would not work on my '97.

I just put it back on eBay, and sold it.

 

In order for it to work it must have the same serial numbers?
