hey guys i was wondering if anyone knew the following codes for a 1998 2.3 cl man. P1259 and P0420???

i failed my inspectiong for these codes and i have been looking but i cant get anything that's positive

a simple search found this site...

which tells you VTEC system malfunction and Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold

so bad VTEC solenoid and a bad cat would be my guess, that will be costly

im pretty sure that a bad cat will make the car think the vtec solenoid is bad.
