n e w/ a 2.2 get there car past 125??
i have i/h/e/p/venom400 but every now and then i get into some trouble with v6 cars on the highway. i want my shit to acclerate faster after 120. trying to figure ut what mod to do next. would a pro kit and konis make a diff??? i will be lower to the ground. .also im getting some 15lb 17"rims which are way lighter the stock. will that help? or should i give the jacobs ice packa try. 14% power gain or ur money back. so illl take them up on it. i mean that waoul be at least 180hp at the crank if not some mo. i rather wait till summer for rims and drop. so if u got a 2.2 or evena 2.3 and u been past 125 what mods u got? and how fast u get up to. cuz i know the 3.0s can max the speedo out

yeah... agreed on that one.... must be that need for speed.
but look at it this way.... no matter if you're going 120 of 130, if you get caught you're screwed anyway so whats the big difference?

I've had my car up to 140. No B.S. I was by myself on a 16 mile straight away. I took about 10 miles to get up there...lol full tank but once i was there it was supriseingly smooth.

iim talkin about easily getting there. i hit 110 eay 120 ok then 120+ need more hp. one thing though oce u get there u can give it like no gas and it stays there. oh yeah i have an auto so i dont knwo how much faster i could go witht his tranny anyway. again i only do this when im basically alone on the road. liek monday i got into a little race with a reg 3000gt. he started pullin slightly after 120 , but his car is mad heavy and only got 200hp stock so im guessin with little mo power i coudl have been the one pullin

I've been 135 with a little play left but I was on a long straight road! I think the reason for your power loss is because of the auto!You don't have the option to leave it in 4th.

i can take my car up to about 123-125 mph range fine...cuz thats in fourth gear...by the time i throw it in fifth like you around 125 for me...it takes forever to hit 128...i think its just that we have four bangers...we dont have extra two cylinders to push at high end

nah... i think the governor is at 140..... on the 2.2 it says something like 120 in fourth (5spd) and then 5th is even faster.
i've just never gotten past 120 because i either got off the gas or didnt have enough power.

Humm...well...I got an automatic, so that might be a difference.
My speedometer only goes to 140, I doubt the governor is set to the max speed. Plus, about losing HP after 120, my friend has a governor in his Z24...He passed me going 135 . He has some mods (exhaust and CAI), but I doubt my engine has less ass than his...thats why I think its a governor.
This might be different for the manual 2.2 or 2.3s, I dunno...
Mabey I'll get off my lazy butt and go try to find it in the owner's manual or somewhere...
