i took my car into the shop today and they said my transmission was slipping and that it would only last 1-2 more months.......i hope my aftermarket insurance covers it

 

Sorry to hear about that. Is your cl modified? What symptoms are you having? BTW the warranty should cover depending on the type and mods you have on the car if any.

 

actually i don't have ANY mods on it except for like light mods but nothing to the engine or transmission

 

for me, the symptoms are
1. rough downshift
2. higher RPM. when i first got my car, my RPM was at 2900 when i was going 80mph but now, the rpm is at 3000-3100...hmmm...is it my torque converter? or my tranny????? i dont know

 

The tachs in our cars are off. If thats your concern dont worry about it.

The VAFC in my car show that the tach is off by >300 rpm at some points.

 

How about the lockup torque converter? When in lock mode, my RPM drops, so maybe yours just will not go into cruise mode.

i have that same downshift problem.....they said its slipping so i dunno.....they also said if i drive it hard enough it can go in 1-2 months.......i think i might do that after i verify that my tranny is covered
