I think both our car have been chillin in the garage for the same amount of time now, lol. We never seem to stop finding new things to replace.

man,

I know I'm more of a show guy than a "go" guy,

But your car is awesome.

Would you consider cleaning your shit or what?

Have some respect for the car, it must smell in there.

If I were you I'd get a leaf blower in there and then

scrub the hell out of the floor pan with car wash...

LoL. Let me get it running first. Then I'll wash, wax, and scrub real hard. I wouldnt use a leaf blower inside the car though. I have A LOT of metal shaving in there. I'm going to use a wet cloth to pick it all up.

I think my car has been down around the same time. It was at a shop for 17 months for the swap. Got the car back. Enjoyed it for a month. Messed it up at the tracks, and has been in my garage since then. And I believe it happened around October. LoL, man do I procrastinate.

From my understanding we cant go higher than 3.6, BUT, when I'm ready, I'm going to give it to a shop (Dr. Charles is whom I want working on it), and see if there is anything they can do about that.

Do you think that once its completed it'll be the fastest 1st gen?

Faster than a h22-t ?

I would be scared to run a h22-t to tell you the truth. But I'm not really building a drag car, so my power band is going to be different than that of a drag car. If I wanted to go with a drag setup, then I would have bought thin jim's turbo kit. My engine wont be built till next summer, as right now I'm concentrating on the chasis and making it lighter.

My car = highway cruiser.

I feel like with the mods i've done to my 3.0 the car has actually

gotten slower at 0-50 mph...

at 60-90 mph the mods are noticeable (in 3rd and 4th gear).

Is Dr. Charles still working at RedSpot (I think that was the shop name)? That guy knows what he's doing.

Update: My clutch alignment tool finally came in today. I will be leaving work early today to finish this biznitch up.

Also, for those of you in SoCal interested in going to a track event when I'm out there. It will lie on the Thursday after the meet (like July 4th or 5th), and will be $180. It is a private event and only 50 cars will be allowed in. Let me know asap so I can get you in if you're interested. I will be racing that day.

Found the tool at autozone when I took my clutch there to find something that would work. And I just finished relooping my steering rack. I'll post pics of it tonight. Right now I'm gonna finish the install on that clutch.

I could not put the tranny back on by myself. I went at it for an hour, but could not do it. My friend is going to come by tomorrow so that we can bench press that sucker back up there. I gave it all I got, but did not have the strength to keep repositioning that tranny and lifting it up on my own.

But as promised, up above, are the pics of my relooped steering rack. No more lines, resevour, or pump for me!

You get more steering feedback without the power steering (great for road racing). But I do plan on adding a beather on it, which will make it feel relatively close to what power steering feels like. And as for the hard turning, it really only affects you at a stand still or very low speeds.

I started her up today, but it's still on jack stands. Gotta get the Honda tranny fluid, throw on the coilovers, and throw the body parts back on her. I'll finish her after work tomorrow. Would have had it all done today, but family and friends showed up at the house, so I had to clean myself up to have a few beers with them. Worked on her for 5 hours today though. And it was a beautiful sound hearing her turn over.
