here's mine,. it's kinda dirty but you get the idea... I think its a Ractive or some crap,.. was originally for a 92-96 prelude and it was cut a few inches shorter,.. I got a killer deal on a huge ractive filter,.. I got some breather valves for the valve cover and another one for the intake itself...

What purpose do the breather valves serve? Usually (if i remember correctly) there are hoses there.

the hose that usually connects from your valve cover to the intake is for the motor to breathe i presume,.. the problem with the hose is that it sucks out oil a little at a time and eventually your intake tube will be caked on the inside with old oil... breather valves stop the oil from entering the intake tube...

Ok guys, I took some pictures of this extra little nipple there.
I'm also posting extra pictures after I cleaned my car real nice today. The new paint, rims and whole package is looking beautiful!

Thanks for telling me about what to do with this dangerous little whole through which water, sand, dust could go through!

And some general pix:

you should really trim the blue tube that goes to the crankcase, as short as possible

you can connect it to this little box, just follow the line from it, its starts near the battery

or buy a pipe cap from a hardware department store

and... does it do something? or is it just an 'empty' tube that I would attach it to?

i have no idea what it does haha, you'd probably be safe capping it off.
for all i know it could suck in dust from that box , or suck out dust and water from the intake.

About the noise of an SRI on 2.3s. It's a small little whissle. Very small. At first, I thought something was wrong with the car.

I have a similar nipple on my V2... I capped it off with an O-ring and hex plug that came with the system....I don't really know what it's for but I've seen people used that nipplet as an inlet port for their nitrous kit so....
