Tuesday i got sidewiped by a speeding commercial van. He smashed right directly into my driver side door, totalling my car. I was rushed to the hospital and luckily all i have is a really scratched up face and bad black eye and about 20 stitches in my eyelids from all the glass that shot everywhere, but im still alive.

My parents went to get my stuff out of the car the next day and about five people at the junk yard said that i should of been dead because of the severity of the crash, but i was in a really good built and safe car, thats right, a acura cl. They also told my parents if i was in another kind of car like a toyota i wouldnt be alive today, and i wouldnt be writing this shit right now. So thank you acura for makng good built cars. I'm gonna miss that thing, there fucking beautiful cars.

Its been chill being on the forums but now that my acura is dead i guess i have no point here right lol. Im waiting for my insurance check to come back and i dont know how much i will get for the car but I'm thinking im probably gonna get a lexus coupe (sc300), they remind me of the cl inside and out but they are fucking so much faster!

WEll in conclusion just be lucky you guys bought such a good car, and you should feel safe.

I'm glad your ok. But as for your car choice...the sc300 isn't that fast. 15.7-15.8 stock. But of course...you could do a supra twin turbo conversion on it if you get the stick.

My rents have an sc400...my 3.0 should now be able to beat it in the 1/4 mile, sadly enough. They only run 15.2-15.4s depending on the year.

Get a WRX and call it a day.

I say, get another CL and swap in an h22 with a turbo or sc, with some of the insurance money. You would be the first to do it. (unless dcsquirm makes it before you and F0de doesn't count)

 

use that insurance money for a down payment and make new payments on a audi s4 or sumtin.

 

I races an SC 400, I GOT TOOLED, so that is how fast a 3.0 is? Damn my car is slow.

Glad your alive. I was supposed to be doing some research online at my universities library, I was fooling around and typed in acura cl. Article after article jumped up, I read a couple, and 1 was about the first gen safety, they said that they beefed up all panels in the first gen's compared to the Accord, and it faired very good in the crash test(which one I can't remember). But anyway, Glad your Alive. get something that's still in production, Like an ummmmmmm Acura Cl??

 

Yea I'd have to agree on the side impact thing. I got hit in my car door by a jeep cherokee (the older more metal one) in my door at around 45mph. I walked away thinking ... "man i didn't get to install my speakers today".

The CL is pretty damn safe, unless ur driving it at like 120 mph and doing stupid things.

hey guys thanx for all your concerns and shit. LOl one more day and it will be a week since the accident, and i still got this ugly ass black eye, and stitch scars but atleast im still walking, right.

I changed my mind about the car, fuck the lexus sc300, after looking at them in person they seem like cl imitations. Although im not getting the lexus i dont think im gonna get another cl, i cant afford it to tell you the truth. I'm keeping it in the honda family though, i think im gonna get a 95 prelude si, it has a lot of aftermarket work done to it already and when i get it, there will be more done. Besides i would rather buy another honda than a cheap toyota, right?

But again thank you guys for your concern and im still gonna check in the posts, after all i love fucking cl's, but i just wanna try something different.
