Hey guys,

My car won't start anymore. It turns but doesn't fire. I don't know what's wrong with it. Any ideas?

Oh BTW, yesturday it was the first really hot day.

Here are some factors

- I replaced the spark plugs (no work)

- Replaced coolant last week.... now low again.

- Car won't start w/ rolling w/ clutch drop

I dunno.... probably send it to the dealer tomorrow.

1) Ignition coil.

Have a friend try the starter while you pull one of the spark plug wires off a plug. If you dont hear any spark with the plug wire an 1/8th of an inch from the plug the coil isnt firing.

2) Check the fuses under the hood. You may not be getting voltage to the coil.

3) Got gas in it?

I'll check the coil and fuses.

I did put some gas in it just incase it was that too.

Oh yea... any ideas on the coolant burning?

Also, check your rotor(ignition). My bro works for Acura and says that they should be replaced at 75K.

Aiite ... i'll redo the rotor.... i have a spare new one sitting around here somewhere.....

If the coil checks out, it might be your fuel pump or related fuse. My Accord has a funky problem. If it's hot ouside and I try to start the car with the blower fan on and the A/C on, there is a senor that fools the ECU into thinking the car is out of gas. The fuel pump is shut off so as not burn it out even though there is plenty of gas. I've been told that this problem is not common.

As ar as burning coolant, are you sure you're not leaking it? If not are you mixing it correctly?
