my car is broken
The engine will go for a while, but it will start slowing itself down and won't rev as high. The rev limiter in park and neutral keeps going up and down between 1-2.5 constantly. Anybody else have this problem? I started happening on a really bad rainy day when I was going snowboarding. I think I got water in the engine. I have a cold air intake and no wheel well.

it's reving on its own. the rev limiter keeps going up and down by itself when its in neutral and in park. the car will start to slow down till it won't move. it holds back and won't accelerate any higher, it just keeps slowing down. if I drive it for a while the whole car starts shaking. I let it sit and chill for a little bit, and it was ok to drive again, but the next day after driving it for a little it started to do the same thing and barely made it up a hill that i live on. I hope this info helps if not call me an idiot.

get a damn wheel well, but thats probably not the problem- but probably will be in the future. Check your vacuum hoses around the intake manifold to make sure non of them came undone, it happened to my friends prelude. Might also wanna check the O2 sensor.

I had the same problem. Don't worry it's covered under your emission warranty. It's not the EGR valve but one of the other electronic valves, you must have the 3.0 right?
