Update: Motor is blown.
Not through any fault of my own, it took beatings like a champ and asked for more. So Honda reliability, nor my maintenance skills are not in question here.
On my way to a meet, i heard a tinkering sound and stopped to examine what it might be. Didn't hear the sound again and continued to drive it. Before i got on the highway, i was coming out of 1st gear and the car's RPM's just dropped and came back up, but when it did it sounded like a damn diesel motor. I limped it back home till i could schedule an appointment to have a local shop that deals with modified Hondas take a look at it, being that i have no time whatsoever to pull it apart.
Upon opening the motor after towing it to the shop (didn't want to extend the damage), they found that a damn screw from the Skunk2 throttle body can come loose internally, fell out, and found its way into my #1 cylinder, causing absolute havoc. The valves were damaged along with the combustion chamber, the cylinder wall was scored in cylinder 1 and the piston was damaged. I should've gotten rid of this damn TB a long time ago being that i have always had issues with it sticking and being an all around horrible product, and now its gonna cost me a lot more than it should have. I'm going to try to contact Skunk2 to see what they can do about it, although i'm pretty sure they'll just blow me off.
Now i'm weighing my options. Its either new long block, boring and honing the motor .020 over & port and polishing the head to repair the damage and buying new high compression pistons, or scrapping the car n buying a new project. (option 3 is an extremity for me at this point, I hate giving up)
What would you do, Aziners?

It clearly is, but i did buy the TB lightly used so I'm thinking they'll claim its not on them. I'm also contacting my parts connect in FL and seeing what he can do as for parts. I'll need new valves, oversized pistons, machine work and probably a stronger clutch cuz I'll have to get it tuned afterward and my clutch is only stage 2. It won't be able to hold the power of an over bored H23a with stage 2 cams. Ahhh my wallet hurts already!

damn bro that really sucks
ive been down that exact same road. i feel for you.
skunk2 absolutely blows. they are the worst by far. I have contacted them regarding my handicaped tb and they said "tough it is what it is, we cant help"
as far as the motor you better stick to the H all the way and rebuild it.

You got it made chris. 6 months is awsome. I'm on my second year and I wouldn't be surprised if I go into my third. You know what they say. Good things come to those who wait.
