After school today, I pull my car in the garage, get out like usual, and hit the lock button on my remote....

NOTHING HAPPENS. So I get seriously angry, and buy a new battery for the remote (which I thought was the problem). That didn't change anything, so I open the door, and hear the beeping sound like if you would leave your keys in it. I start it up, then turn it back off.

Now the remote will activate the door locking and unlocking, but it doesn't make that trademark "BEEP BEEP" sound. That's the only reason you get keyless entry!!

Any reason why it would no longer make the sound? I am so pissed off. I'm taking it in for a fan problem on Saturday, what might this little bit of fucked up cost me? I want it to make the sound! Sorry if I sound whiney but.....DAMMIT!

Replacing the battery in the remote sets is back to not mkae the audible alert. You need to push the "Lock" and "trunk" buttons down at the same time. The red indicator light on the remote will light up when it is set. To turn the sound off you can repeat the process and the light will blink rapidly 2 times. Hope this helps, it is also in your owners manual.
