If you use the AC on recirc alot, you might try shifting it over to fresh for a while before you park and shut down. Recycling the same air gets musty after a while and even the moisture from your breath stays in the car.

Lysol it
Get a can of Lysol, turn on your AC fan on high (not recirculation) and spray the lysol in the outside AC vents, where the air enters the cabin. Empty the entire can. It will kill any mold/mildew you have growing in your AC. And as said above, let you vent (AC off) run about the last 5 minutes before you shut car off. This will prevent any moisture from setting up inside the AC and causing the mold/mildew to form.

I've got the stink too. My car has been "funk-a-fied!"

I have the same thing happen to my ac when I ride around for a few days with the windows down without using it. Then once I turn it on it smells awful but it goes away after a few minutes. I think I might try something like the Lysol method mentioned earlier.

Just kidding around. I found that a dryer sheet like bounce under the passenger seat does wonders for getting rid of orders.
But I'll try the shower too just to be on the safe side!

Those dryer sheets work wonders for alot of things...I used to put one in my hockey bag and it kept everything smelling pretty good.
