MSD SCI Ignition Install Info

FOR ALL THOSE WANTING TO INSTALL AN MSD BOX IN THEIR CAR: READ THIS
I just installed the MSD SCI box in my 97 3.0 CL and it was one of the easiest installs ever.
First, you need to find a mounting location for the actual box. I stuck mine inside the car, right above the brake pedal, against the firewall(To keep it away from heat).
Next, you need to run the wires into the engine bay. Lucky for me there was already a grommet with a wiring harness already running through it right beside the spot where i stuck the box.
Then, comes the wiring. Obviously, the heavy red goes to the battery and the heavy black goes to a solid ground. The thinner red wire goes to the two black wires that plug into your coil. The white wire goes to the blue wire that plugs into your coil. Now, if you are sticking with the stock coil, you need to cut the coil's harness off about two inches down, so you have enough wire on both ends. The orange wire goes to the two black wires in the harness. The black wire goes into the blue. Then, simply plug the harness back into the old coil. If you are installing an MSD Blaster SS, or other aftermarket coil, you can simply clip off and discard the harness that plugged into the old coil. the orange wire from the MSD box goes to positive (+)on the new coil, the black goes to negative (-) on the new coil.
That's It!!! Told you it was simple. And it gave me noticable performance and even a little better gas mileage. One of the best upgrades I've made to my car.
Well, I hope this helps a couple of you guys out. And remember, this installation is for the 3.0, not the 2.2. But don't worry, they give you guys directions for your cars.:P
I'll try to get some pics of the install up this week.

I agree very simple install on the 23 except for the fact that I got the wrong distributor cap and had to soder the stock wires to the stock coil for a couple of days until I got the right one since I already cut the male/female connectors off. Boy was I pissed. But it was simple to do everything. The other problem was mounting, I ended up placing it infront of my Intake right below the headlight. But it did take about an hour to cut out the tublar piece of metal under where I was mounting it, had to use the torch, saw zaw, crow bar, chisel, and hammer. But we got it removed. Easy at home install for the SCI I reccomend it.

I'm trying to install one on my 2.2 but dunno which wires go where? I'm using my stock coil. So basically you are slicing the signal into your coil wires? .... or are you cutting them in two and connecting them to different wires in the ignition?

Let me try and explain this a little more clearly:If you are installing this with the factory coil, clip off the harness that plugs into the coil, but leave enough wire to work with later. The thinner red wire goes to the two black wires (not the one that is still attached to the harness). The white wire goes to the blue wire(not the one that is still attached to the harness). The orange wire goes to the two black wires in the harness. The black wire goes into the blue wire in the harness. The heavy red wire goes to your battery or somewhere where it'll get a nice strong flow of current. The heavy black goes to a nice, sturdy, clean ground.
And like I said before when I left this post I don't know how many months ago: A very nice increase in performance, as well as gas mileage. What do you want, dyno numbers? j/k If you need any more help, PM me or AIM me at: joedawg10

P.S., I've been trying to get some pics up of my car, but my friend's got my digital camera and I'm not happy with the pics I have of it (pre-rims). I'll try and get some pics up of both my car and the MSD as soon as I get the camera back.
