i don't know which one, i have the 3.0, acura replaced the iacv, you were right about that, and they said the jolting when braking was because of the motor mount, it has a crack in it, they have to order the part, i'm going back there in a copule of weeks

naw.. if they say its the one in the back watch out, cause its electronic. it dampens vibrations from the engine durring acceleration.. if its the front main mount, which is a pretty hefty one, you lookin at bout 2 hours of labor and prolly 50-60$ for the part. either way make sure if you have them change it you get the old one back.. and look at it just to make sure you actually had a crack that wasent done by way of hammer.

i got the motor mount replaced, acura charged me a total of 275 dollars for the part and install, i know they had to pay shipping cost too because i had to wait two weeks, they only took like 1 hour labor

Damn, must have been the front mount. Glad to hear they fixed it, and it didn't take like 10 hours of labor.

hey guys, i've noticed my car not jolting as hard with the new motor mount when coming to a stop but sometimes it still will jolt very slightly, is this normal on acura cl, mines the 99 3.0CL. I don't know if i should take it back to acura again, it doesn't bother me too much, depending on the way i stop, if i brake hard it will do it, if i tap on the brake a few times when coming to a stop, it won't, is this still a problem?

The 3.0 auto tranny has a problem slowing down to 1st gear quickly. Mine was jolting like that, till I got my tranny rebuilt, now not so much. Also, the braking system is a little finicky it could be either of those 2. Nothing to worry about if it's not bothering you, just keep an eye on the smoothness of your shifting, if it starts to slip, and u have a warranty, get that sucker replaced. I just paid aamco $2700 for a new tranny

Only if it is throwing codes, they can hook up to the tranny and pull codes, otherwise, they have to feel it slipping gears.

ok, i just took it for a run to be sure of whats going on, when i almost come to a stop and am going very slow in 1st gear, the car will jolt slightly right before it comes to a stop, when i press down on the brakes harder when going faster speeds, it comes to a stop but u really can't feel the jolt...i don't know what to do, i guess take it back to acura...this sucks
