Most updated pics of my car

May pics

Not that much, but just a few things I did.

Black calipers: I got bored so I just wanted to do it...took about 1.5 hrs by hand and a single hydraulic lift.

Gauges: I mainly put them because they aren't indiglo, and the numbers are PERFECT lineup, so they look pretty stock.

Clock: I just did that for fun....took maybe 15 mins....I can do it faster now since I did it once

Front license plate re-location: Because when I paint the car again, I didn't want the front license plate mount to be touching the bumper and damaging it. My friend told me to do it, and I seem to like it so far

I'll have more exterior pics after paint job and car wash

haha thanks man

but the thing is, I didn't want the license plate inside, because when i have a passenger (girl ) I dont want them to be seeing it and think its all ghetto. I just put it there because it would always be on the front, and wouldn't be touching the bumper.

My next project involves the gauges still:

I have a 6" UV blacklight that activates with a switch, but I'm gonna wire it directly into the dash lights, so when I turn on the headlights the UV turns on. Instead of having the 2 small bulbs (size 74), I'm gonna change that whole unit to a 6" UV blacklight bar, so it lights up the gauges AND needles.

I'll have the dash completely blue. Just ordered 50 blue 5mm LED's and 50 3mm blue LED's for about $20 w/ resistors.

GOnna order the 906 bulbs built with 9 LED's that fit into the 194/168 socket. I'll have blue lights with a blacklight glowing the gauges and needles (I have white needles and white gauges, needles have a black border so you can see it).

Doesn't cost much to do at all...

$20 for all the LED's (More than enough, for future projects)
$20 for the 906 bulbs (Haven't bought yet)
$10 for the 6" UV
------
$50 gets you a complete dash/console conversion!

btw, I tried using a film over the climate control, but it came out so dark that you can't see it at all. So it's best to replace LED's

looks good. theres gotta be a way to get that liscense plate

mounted differently than the way it is mounted. I have a somewhat

decent idea. bend the plate, if u dont feel comfortable doing this,

you might be able to get it in between the bumpers "teeth" and the

bumper itself.

ohh, like cutting a slit on the bottom and sliding it up? that doesn't sould too bad, but i think you have to remove the bumper to do it since the bottom has a shield type of thing. Too much work for me maybe if i have time one day i'll try it

dan u don't have the holes in the bumper?? or did you get those filled. I really want to move mine... I was thinking dash too as the #1 post whore said.

looks good.

I was thinking maybe mold liscense plate into the bumper... as it is in the rear but not so deep just flush with the bend in the plate to go with that little bend in our front. I have no idea how else to mount the plate in the dash. perhaps not place the plate right against the windshield but create a wedge so the plate is at a 20 degree angle instead of standing up. that would increase the visibility and still beable to see the plate #. don't know if that is illegal or not but that was what I was thinking.just a little custom wedge shaped piece could wrap a piece of wood in leather or vynal and then screw in the plate and then velcro the piece of wood to the dash that way you can remove it real quick and then remove the velcro... the residue left by the adhesive could be taken off real nice with some goo gone so it wouldn't be a problem.

that was the idea I had and that way the woman wouldn't be staring at the silver back of a license plate the whole ride.

I'll take a closeup of the bumper tomorrow...you can see the minor damage i have

the license plate holder mounted under the front bumper, but the mount piece always touched the bumper, so it created a few little chips and such....so when I paint the car again, I don't want to have that problem. I just decided to try this license plate spot, and so far it's workin great!
