More Speeeeeed

I need more speed besides the obvious 100 shot which should be comming soon. What do i need to prepare for when i get the 100? I've heard of tranny coolers but i have no idea what they are or where u get them. Also, is a vafc sooo much better than my POS venom? One more thing, where can i get custom cam gears like fastvetc?? And What else could i do do get more speed!! Thanks!

Speedandstyle.com for AEM Cam Gears at $109 (youll never find them cheaper except maybe on ebay in 2 years)
V-AFC lets you change some parameters such as your vtec engagement point unlike your venom 400 which you cant adjust.
Tranny Coolers are like $60 at most I believe Dustbuster just had one installed.
Also the unorthodox crank pulley would get you some power.
A lightened flywheel would to and they are only $350 from groupbuycenter.com.
Hope that helps

I'm not trying to bust your balls at all, but it sounds like you're going to need someone to install and tune this stuff also. So unless you know someone, factor in the labor to install these parts. The trans cooler is similar to your radiator except it cools the trans fluid and is considerably smaller. It usually mounts in front of the radiator and you can get them at pretty much any auto parts store.

The vafc may perform better than the venom, but you are going to need to tune your air/fuel on a dyno. That can get a little expensive and you need someone who knows what they are doing to optimize power across the band.

There was also a post above that suggested a lightened flywheel. I think that is an excellent part for performance, but may be one of the most difficult to install. It reduces the rotating mass so your motor can wind faster, but because the CL motors aren't high winders like other Honda motors (h22's, b18's) you might not see as much increase in power as those would. Also, there have been several posts on this board about a dowel on the OEM flywheel that is sized differently than the aftermarket ones. You might want to do a search for 'flywheel' or any other part you're looking to get for that matter.

Good luck

Yeah drilling that out hasnt given me any problems.

Try a high flow cat. If you already have the headers and exhaust that should really open things up.

Check clubsi.com and and go into their nitrous junkie section and do some research also check at n2o.org before you slap a 100 shot on it. I would hope you get all the n2o safty equ avalible with a shot that high.

I have been unable to find a light flywheel for the 3.0, only ones I see are for the 4-cyls. Can someone correct me and post a link where I can get one?
